I may have just been converted...
I have always hated photoshop, and yet, when I bought my computer I spent the money to get photoshop elements (I know it's not the real thing, but that is a big deal for me). I've never really used it much, I prefer to think that my pictures don't need to be edited... (which I'm aware is arrogant of me). Tonight however, I decided to try it, I fiddled around and this is what I came up with:
The original is on the left and the edited version on the right, I know there isn't all that much difference, I'm not even sure how I feel about how it turned out after I fiddled with it yet. Add to that that this isn't all that great of a picture to begin with... well I'm looking for other people's opinions... should I start editing some of my pictures? You don't even have to base it on this, it's just my example for me.
I'm one of those editing nazis. I must edit my pictures before doing anything else with them. Even if they're just goofy and bad and meant only for facebook, they must be edited.
ReplyDeleteSo, call me biased. Nevertheless, I feel that once you get the hang of it, little tweaks can really make the image.
Elliott.
when i shoot digital i do color correction, it makes up for bad color processing by the in-camera chip
ReplyDeleteshooting film is different and your film has a certain color profile which you can use to your advantage
